The book written by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows was a bestseller that was made into a film in 2018. Having visited Guernsey myself it’s easy to understand why Mary Ann Shaffer decided to write about it. The island inspires creativity. I spent quite a few hours with a sketchpad and pencils and staring off into the sea below.
