I've struggled with my weight pretty much all my adult life, however I've stumbled on the key to achieving my weight goals and also staying happy without binge eating and/ or eating unhealthily.

16:8 intermittent fasting

This allows me to eat what I like within an eight-hour window, and I'm then too full to snack before going to bed. I agree exercise with high-protein meals and veg are important, but so are carbs. The difference is I eat a little less of it now than before, i.e. instead of two slices of toast I'll have just one with my eggs, etc.

It's now become a habit, and I adjust my eight-hour window depending on my day, so it doesn't impact on my work, home or social life. I've been on this 16:8 for just over two months now, and I've lost about 5.5kg. I'm not worried I'm going to put it back on, because I've changed my eating pattern.

Obviously, it's different from one person to the next! But I'm a big fan of it!
